I'm surprised Freeney got in the top 25 and not JT. But I guess maybe that whole Dancing fiasco got in everyone's minds and our whole team sucked hard last season.

How did Freeney get in? He can play against the run and he had 3.5 sacks last year as mentioned.

And they just played right into Prisco's hand. "Let me write something ridiculous about a sport I know nothing about so I can stir the rice. I know, I'll leave JT off the top 50 list! That'll spike some people's punch!"

People in NFL circles should just learn to ignore Prisco and maybe he would go away.

No CB should be in the top 10, ive seen them get burned far to many times, the CB position imo is one of the most overrated in the game right now. A top WR/QB combo will burn a top CB, simple as that.
Jared Allen and AP are a bit high, good players but only 1 year of production. Lets see how they do now that teams have a year to study them.

Worst low spot is Fred Taylor at 49, the guy is good. And ofc JT not being on there is just silly, and I say that taking into account the homerism natural to that.

    Prisco is ANTI-DOLPHIN...

Anyways he probably does not exepct JT to play this year... so he makes his case... Since JT has not stated he is playing...

    Top 50 NFL players...

Of course he was there in 2007...# 16...

I love what Ronnie did last year, but the man needs to prove hes 100% with his knee and have at least one dominating season before I put him in.

But yeah Bailey was a joke. And I forgot Mario at 6. He could be special, but not the 6th best player in the league. Prisco overvalued people who atm are one year wonders.

I think Taylor being on a 1-15 team, made him fall in this list. However, I'd still put him in the top 25, much less top 50.

Yeah I can understand that. The thing is, you can't factor that in because we are strictly talking about the top players. Jason Taylor has been the most dominating Defensive End in this league since 2000. ESPN did a chart on it when Strahan decided to hang it up. They were saying how he was only behind Jason Taylor in sacks since 2000. To add to Jason's dominance, he is all over the place on the field and in the statistics categories. He scores defensive touchdowns, he forces fumbles.

Perhaps what I dislike most is that JT didnt even merrit and "honorable mention." I know he deserved much more than that, but its like he didnt even register. Really? An all-star? Silly.

The funny thing is that Madden 09 did just as good, if not a better job than a guy who is paid to do this for a living. http://psp.ign.com/articles/885/885378p1.html

I need to contact Prisco's employeers and tell them I'll do his (and to be fair to him just about any sportwriter's job) for less than what they make.

I like how Wes Welker is on that list, when he isnt even a top 10 WR.
He's definately a top 10 situational guy though.

When we go 1-15, don't expect any of our players to make this list, it's as simple as that. JT didn't help himself with the DWTS gig, or his 1 year then retire comments.
