NFL.com Blogs Blog Archive NFL can really flex muscles in Week 17

In no rush due to the array of possibilities. 5/6 flex games so far have been fox games.

If the Jets and Phins both win this week the potential showdown in week 17 would be the most logical choice given it would be for the AFC east and Penny returning.

Nothing in stone but we could get the game as a leading candidate if us and the jets win this week.

I personally hope we get a primetime game, for the sole and only reason for the rest of America to see how awesome we have become in under one year.

I didn't realize the NFL's contract was so iron clad in their favor

I'm sure they will pick the game that has the potential to make them the most money. Glad were playing the Jets and the NY market instead of the Rams for instance, should help us getting the league's approval

Other than our fans being able to watch the game on TV ....why would that be a good thing?

It'll be at night and itll be colder...might even snow...

As it is we've had close games in 70 degree weather.

Well as long as its dry cold shouldn't effect the backs too much.

Chad P. Has played a few games in cold weather, particularily in that stadium

Long i'm sure is used to cold games from Michigan

Porter played several years in lots of night games in Pittsburgh

Just a few players who are important to our team week in week out. I think its a league recognized respect thing that we get a prime time game. I don't think the night could be a little colder woudl be a reason for us not to want a prime time game. If its cold at night, it will be cold in the morning, and its a stadium our most imp. player has played his whole career in. I'm sure the slight few degree's colder won't be a big difference.
