http://www.footballlocks.com/nfl_lines.shtml As if we did already know it, the line says we are in for one hell of a game.
Yeah. One of the few games this week where Vegas isn't taking sides. They're just as clueless as the rest of us, for a change.
I think the over/under is a little ridiculous at 35.5. I think I would take the under. I don't see these defenses yielding many points. I don't even see these teams scoring 15 points each.
If Miami is –2 at home, then the Jets are actually 1 point favorites. If Sanchez doesn’t put up 3 TDs against an overrated Patriots defense, we’re probably –6 favorites.
I agree, I just hate betting on my teams...Nonetheless, not a bad bet. If the -2 is any indication (and I have not checked yet) then the public is pounding us (Dolphins) and Vegas therefore moved the line to stimulate some betting on the other side...albeit not by much. However, as GMJ said, Vegas may be up in the air about this game and trying to break even.
I think the Dolphins scare Vegas to death!!!!!!! They have no idea what we are capable of because we have been flying under the radar.
IMO, week 3 is always the best week to make bets, why I always wait -last years contenders that are this years pretenders (Cowboys, Vikings and Jets) are still getting too much credit from betters based on preseason hype -this years contenders are winning but haven't convinced the masses or most of ESPN best week to take advantage of the lines. I put some good money on Miami this week as well as a nice 5 game parlay.
Big difference in the Dolphins defense compared to last year. Trends don't work too well from a yearly basis.
