I wonder if this is still for Rosen? Move down 14 spots, add another 2nd round pick for next year, and offer the 62nd to AZ for Rosen in a take it or leave it deal? If so, that is awesome strategy on Miami's part.
Didnt Miami already have 2 picks in every round from 3 down next year? Will they now have 2 picks in every round except the 1st in 2020?
Now Grier can call and say ok we’re willing to give up our #2 for Rosen. If that happened we would have basically gotten him for nothing and gained a pick for next year get it done!!!
That was a brilliant move on the part of the Dolphins war room. Absolutely brilliant. Really impressed by that move.
Basically Arizona can take this offer or be stuck with Rosen at this point. I'm betting they signed off on this because it's STILL the best offer they're going to get for him at this point.
The down side, I really like AJ Brown and he just came off the board. Maybe not a position of need (or maybe so?), but a real play-maker that I thought would've be gone sooner.
I still wouldn't offer more than a 4th for Rosen. Anything else is playing into Arizonas hands. They have 0 leverage. We dont need Rosen. Nobody else wants him. Hes not going to play for them. They have literally no options.
I would like to see Grier trade back again to the 3rd for another pick in next years draft. That way we can offer it and a bag of chips for Rosen and see if the Cards bite. If not, we have another to add to help us find our guy.
I can say with certainly that this is the best draft I have seen from the Dolphins in some time. I like what we are doing to setup for next year's draft.
