I think its pointless to bring in any other WRs unless you know for a fact they are upgrades. I'm seeing a lot of take a flyer on this guy or try that guy. The season is about to start and the guys we have know the offense, if someone isn't a guaranteed upgrade I just don't see the point. INB4 people start saying, ANYONE IS AN UPGRADE, MY GRANDMA IS AN UPGRADE, blah, blah, blah.
I hear Larry Parker was released. Dolphins have only three corners. They should jump at the chance to take him off waivers. If they're smart.
I don't believe that to be true at all. Before 2011, Bess was only playing 25-30% of his snaps in the slot, and most of the time he was less productive on a per-snap basis. His production crashed pretty bad when Brian Daboll put him in the snap nearly twice as often last year.
Roddrick Muckelroy, the ILB from the Bengals was cut. He had a pretty good preseason. Obviously there's a connection to Kevin Coyle there. At the very least, he's better depth than Austin Spitler and Josh Kaddu. I'd almost argue that he's just as good a special teams contributor as Jason Trusnik.
So who's current spot is in trouble? I think you could argue Slaton or Thigpen. On the OL, Yeatman and Jerry. On the receiving crew, including tes, Mastrud, Moore, and Naanee. On defense, Freeny and Kaddu stand out as possible casualties. And after listening to Philbin yesterday, I am not real sure Wilson is safe. Throw Culver into that mix as well. I would say as many as 5 or 6 spots might be in transition.
How long does it take to announce waiver wire awards? When should we begin to hear? I have forgotten.
You'd think they'd be announced at Nfl.com but sadly it's probably going to be the drip drip of twitter feed updates etc. The players involved including those cut to make room will be informed and we'll probably find out from them and their agents, or the likes of Volin reporting from them and their agents.

Doubtful considering that's the deadline to submit waivers. They would then have to go through them all an notify players and agents. I'd think 1 EST is a better guess as to when we'll start hearing things.
I have no clue how he did in camp or preseason, I am merely interested because of college production. He may be a bad NFL player.
