The combine is always interesting in so many ways. Players come out of nowhere, jumping up draft boards, while others slip because they didn't test as well as people thought. Then there are guys like Michael Turner who absolutely dominated the college game, tested well at combine, and still got drafted in round 5. This was a kid that was a built like a tank, ran a 4.4 40, and was #2 in the country in rushing 2 years in a row and had no issues with ball security. He gets drafted by the Chargers, who already had the best RB in the NFL. Had to waste all of those early years of his career on the bench. Lets grab that guy before someone else does. Not necessarily a RB but, who is this years Michael Turner? Some players slide when there is no logical explanation for it. Let's get those guys in the middle/late rounds and crush this draft. And of course, what I ask for every year......A big, athletic, dominant #1 WR
Man I dunno...just not totally sold on Gordon for some reason...not sure what it is. Maybe it's 'cuz I'm a Buckeyes fan...ya...that could be it
I really think one of the best things we can do for Tanny is get our running game going. More of a power game like we had for one game this year. That was awesome.
I am very intrigued by DGB. I also think he will be available when we pick at 14. Right now he would be my top pick, as my other favorite WR White will likely be gone. DGB's upside is one that I would roll the dice on.
I agree but I think it is time to swing for the fences. With our history of 1st rnd picks, I think it is time to take a chance. For the most part, our 1st round picks have been safe choices. Take a chance on a player to be special. Every knowledgeable poster that we respect has his physical talents unquestioned...I am all in on DGB. At 14, I feel he will be the BPA and also fill a need at both improving our WR's and helping our QB reach the next level.
