Not sure how it complicates anything. We knew before the season start that you can bring 8 players back from IR after they have missed 4 games on it. So far that list is... Rob Jones Jeff Wilson Jr Jalen Ramsey River Cracraft Obviously we will use another 2 on Armstead and Achane which leaves 2 for the season. It sounds like Wynn might be done for the season or at least until the later part of the season so they might hold onto that. I'm also guessing they would like 1 for an emergency but we will see. I think it shows how highly they think of Cracraft that they would use a designation on him when WR is probably the deepest position on the team. I actually love this change to IR rather than the way it used to be that you kept an injured player on the 53 or they went to IR when out for the season.
It’s a bit of a juggling act now, having to bring multiple players back fairly early in the season, leaving fewer options later. Guys who don’t need to miss the rest of the season may be forced to, based on the decisions of the front office/coaching staff.
