I guess we'll see. The track record from people coming out of there isn't good in that regard. Almost all of them continue to follow his example long after their away from his direct influence.

From my journalism/marketing experience, I can tell you that this is sort of a stop-gap position that's not what most would think. She gets talking points and what to avoid from above, then she knows how to spin the story to be relevant and most beneficial to the team.

Honestly, it's probably my dream job and I'm qualified, but I don't have the in-house pro sports experience. She almost surely went the same route as Grier working her way up through the Pats organization and earning each promotion, so I'd say she's likely a solid hire. You'll never see most of "her magic" since that happens behind the scenes framing each piece of information that flows throughout the organization and to the media.

Travis should be making calls as she fills out her team- there's a huge opportunity there!
