Yeah that was not a bad mock at all. Picking #3 behind the Colts and Rams would suck, but also be pretty realistic. And picking Matt Barkley, that's not bad at all. I know one Alabama fan, former football coach, that would be happy about that. Pretty cool.
A guy that I've actually had my eye on for several years now is Duke Ihenacho of San Jose State. He's a real play maker at Safety but I suppose he's not going to be a super sexy choice, because he's not fast. But if he can run solidly into the 4.5's then I think he would make a great Strong Safety prospect to groom. He suffered through some injuries at SJSU, but in 2007 he was the youngest player on the team and started 6 games as a frosh. He broke out in his sophomore year on a defense that featured other big names like Jarron Gilbert, Coye Francies and Chris Owens. But, I thought he might have been the best player on that defense, as he had 66 tackles, 5.5 for loss and 5 interceptions, with a TD. It was unfortunate the next year he had 89 tackles and 1 INT before landing on IR with a nasty injury, which forced him to redshirt in 2010. He's finally starting to come back a little and has 34 tackles, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery he returned for a 20 yard TD. I just always liked the guy, since 2008 when I did a heavy amount of looking at that defense, evaluating Coye Francies, Chris Owens and Jarron Gilbert. It was hard not to notice the guy roaming around the field making plays everywhere as sort of a rover/safety/linebacker hybrid.
