drop kevin smith and pickup felix jones as a free agent, i mean barber is banged up after one week, his running style just cries for injuries so would you keep smith or do it
Barber is not banged up. He fully participated in practice and was not wearing any extra protection. He might play with some pain, but even that can be nullified with a simple shot. BFD. And you should already have Felix Jones anyway as a handcuff. Give us your roster so we can better help you.
I do think Barber is going to have a tough time making it through the season. Nobody can take the abuse like he does for an entire season. I know he does deliver as much punishment as he recieves That being said, I would NOT let Barber go. That offense has too many weapons and that only opens things up for him even more. EDIT: Nevermind, I just went and re-read the first post. You dont have Barber but want to pick up Jones. I would do it, but not at the cost of Smith
QB Cutler , Roethlisberger RB Steven Jackson, Michael Turner, Kevin Smith WR Steve Smith, Calvin Johnson, Andre Johnson, Ted Ginn Jr. TE Jeremy Shockey, Chris Cooley K Rackers, Carpenter D Philly , Tampa just to let you know i dont have barber, i was just thinking with his running style and full workload he is an injury waiting to happen so the only other player i would cut for jones is ted, we are only allowed to have 9 players altogether at QB, RB and WR , but i was also thinking about dropping ted ginn for d. jackson from philly since he is almost the same player in a better offense, with the smith thing i´m somehow just not sold on the lions running game, but i had to pick him since we must have 1 rookie on our team, i have 2 now with him and carpenter so i could get rid of him
A team's #1 running back is always more important than a kicker. Ditch Carpenter. Kickers give marginal points, it's not worth keeping a second on the roster just for bye week fill-ins. (Unless you're required to, in which case I wouldn't play in that league next year.) Drop Carpenter for Felix. Alternatively, see if you can trade Smith and Ginn in a package for a WR, then pick up Felix.
it doesnt help me if i kick the 2nd kicker or 2nd defense we need to have one in our league, as a backup, i cannot pick up another RB or WR or QB if i ditch the kicker because like i wrote above 9 players max at these 3 positions i dont see a big problem with having to have 2 kickers or D´s on the roster, our rules are very good we are running our 12th season, not bad for german guys,
i just have to wait what happens on the waiver wire first, since i won my 1st game i´m on 9th to pick up a player, so felix and DeShean have to slide first than its time to make a decision
i try never to keep 2 defenses or kickers, even with MGIII playing, Felix Jones is more valuable than either Carpenter or the extra Def. dump one. if you have to make room for bye week fill ins that's one thing, but don't keep two of each.
