Okay, I'm waiting a little too long to get a QB, the two best QBs left in my opinion are Jay Cutler and David Garrard. Footballguys.com has them rated equally. ANy reason to think one of them will come out ahead this season?
Go with Cutler. Big-game ability, more upside than Garrard. At worst they'll be equal, at best Cutler can establish himself as equivalent to Roethlisberger from a fantasy standpoint. Besides, when Brandon Marshall comes back, Cutler's WRs will actually be able to catch the ball.
People will knock Cutler because he doesn't have Brandon Marshall but 1.) He's used to being "the man", 2.) Darrell Jackson and Brandon Stokley are hardy veterans who have each notched 1000 yards in recent past, 3.) Tony Scheffler can surprise, 4.) Garrard's a game manager in a run-heavy offense and shouldn't even be on fantasy rosters in leagues that don't penalize super heavily on interceptions.
Cutler would be the guy to go with. His team will be playing from behind a lot more then I expect Jacksonville to. Thats going to lead to additional passing yards and possibly a few extra TD. Hes also about as mobile as Garrard so there isnt much discrepency in rushing yards though I didnt look it up.
