I downloaded the demo... it looked okay, it felt weird though. Im not much of a basketball fan though, I just downloaded it thinking it would be interesting to check out... I don't have much comment, it just seemed a bit... sluggish? Control wise that is...
Certainly did feel sluggish especially when someone's making a cut towards the basket and gets a pass. It's like he's stuck in quicksand before he gets the ball. He runs, then stops, then catches, and then continues. I like that they put Kevin Love on the cover but this game is nothing next to College Hoops 2k. Another sports genre turned rancid by EA....
I cant get into the NCAA b-ball series. The engine is slower, but yet too similiar to the NBA one..and its just not as "flashy" for me.
I bought NCAA08 as my first PS3 purchase, i played it twice and traded it in. That game sucked, so i figure this ones the same. To bad since Kevin Love is on the cover.
Pretty much NCAA08 with a new cover. I'd return mine but unfortunately, I can't go back to College Hoops.
college hoops 2k8 is one of the best games ive played for 360. that game is money, i dont trust EA basketball games
If you want current rosters and player names for 2k8, I'd check out here: College Hoops 2K Rosters - Operation Sports Forums Keep in mind they're all amateur made so they may or may not be 100% accurate. I know a few are making ones for the 2008-09 season like they did for ESPN NFL 2k.
thanks, bro! have you tried to play a game on xbox live for 2k8? they need to fix the servers or something its impossible to play a game
They've had server issues from the start but I hope it's not the main reason 2k's out of NCAA BBall because their overall product even in single player or system link is almost flawless next to EA's game.
