this quote made me realize something, playing games like we did with the Colts and the Jets, will help us get more Monday night games for the future
Not only that, like the article stated, it will help expand the fan base.... Over the past decade plus that I've been posting on various forums, I've read many accounts of how ppl all over the country, that unlike myself have no ties to south Florida, have become Fin fans.....some of the older ones may have became fans watching the undefeated team, or there's the middle age guys and gals that grew up watching Marino and became fans because of that. But generally there's a reason... Now, we have yet another new reason for young ppl to jump on board. It's because this team is entertaining and exciting and we offer something new and different. Five, ten, twenty years from now there will be fans all over the country that will tell you that they got hooked by the Wildcat, that they and their friends would pretend to be Ronnie and Ricky in their back yard, takin snaps under center. lol This wildcat thing is a lot bigger than what you see on the field.....it's steadily not only making us relevant again, it's making us must see TV. And I love it.....
We have 3 nationally televised games this year (2 MNF, 1 SNF) and 1 game that can be pulled due to flex scheduling. Not bad hopefully we get at least 4 because quite frankly I'm sick of seeing Dallas get 6 a year for a over rated team.
Yep the sunday night games are flexible and if we keep this up we dont have to worry about losing that sunday nighter.
