Boston can't win a game on the road regardless of who they play, so they better step it up here. I think the New York Knicks are capable of taking Boston to 7 games.
Doc Rivers made a quality Defensive adjustment? I'm speechless. Next you'll tell me Dave Wannestadt found a great quarterback.
HUGE tapback by Allen. Not sure that makes up for almost shooting them out of the game, but it helps.
5 second violation, and I swear, they gave him more than that to inbound the ball. That's gonna do it. Man, Cleveland's now dropped two very winnable games in Boston.
Much better player rotation this time by the Celtics. Makes you wonder if Rivers reads the papers. I love Davis, have always been a fan of his. I like him getting more minutes. He's a big body who takes up space under the basket and boxes out well. His defense lacks, but he's quick for his size. Pressure's on Cavs now.
Lakers leading by three after the first quarter. Good shooting by both teams but sloppy play as both had a lot of turnovers. L.A. is passing up good shots for bad passes. They seem to be forcing the extra pass as opposed to naturally letting it happen. I would also like to see Lamar DRIVE AT Boozer as it would help put him in foul trouble.
Just to update I'm no longer rooting for the Lakers. One half at a sports bar surrounded by Lakers fans and I remember why I hate them. My universe is back in order, I'm back to hating the Lakers!
They were shooting over 50% at the half. The only thing bad they have been doing is turning it over, which they corrected in the third. However, Kobe is getting to the line an awful lot which could be the difference down the stretch...Good game tonight.
This game has me walking around the living room living and dieing with each posession. I think that means it is a good, close, playoff basketball game.
Lamar just pooed all over the Jazz twice. He serves Okur with a facial and then drives to the basket with 6:19 remaining, gets fouled and still throws it down.
Ok, I think Kobe needs to turn selfish here. He was getting to the line in the third and can do so pretty much at will right now too. He needs to drive and look to finish. Especially since no one else can make a shot outside. Lamar and Kobe need to take it to the hoop. Edit: Oh and Deron Williams is good. Just in case you didn't know. That guy has made some big shots tonight and some unbelievable "Kobe"-esque ones as well.
So many opportunities to take control of this game. Game 7 will be a good one. Hopefully, we can break through in L.A. after coming close again.
Please Okur was trying to flop. But, if you want to nitpick that call, I would be happy to go back with a fine toothed comb and point out where contact was initiated by a JAzz player with no call. How does that Utah in 6 prediction taste?
Jazz played a good game for three quarters. Neither team could really buy a bucket down the stretch. Good game though, physical, high intensity throughout. Game 6 should be fun.
No, it's just a bitter Jazz fan venting. I like that prediction. It'd be nice if Kobe can pull an MJ, make a last minute game winning jumper while not at 100% in a Game 6 at Utah. Deja vu.
He has the Jordan stiff arm to do it too. And, let's be realistic. Utah isn't going to lose Game 6 at home facing elimination.
