I'm sure Wake will do a fine job on special teams.. But I also don't believe we brought him in from the CFL to just cover kicks
Just because Wake's a bona fide member of the Triad of Terror doesn't exclude him or anyone else on the team from the Kamikaze Club. Wake is a total package. He won't disappoint anywhere you play him. However, he doesn't need to play Special Teams to make the team. We need to change our collective mentality concerning the unit. I think it's high time we use the best we have available, including GinnJr on Special Teams, if we want to take the next step on the road to the SuperBowl.No other way to go if we're going to compete; a football player plays where he's needed.
The ST unit is how a player earns their keep, for once 'Nando is completely correct. We'll see what happens when the contact happens, in 42 days...
Friend Padre 31: am so much looking forward to seeing Wake on the field the guy is a freak of nature, a beast, an absolute bear of a pass rusher speed, strength, explosion, manic aggressiveness: Cameron Wake is a BEAR! read an article on him that said basically he had no distractions in his life if it is not about football, it is of no concern to Wake rather than watch TV, he watches games & game tape, trying to learn & improve has no social life by choice, wants no complications to his goal: to be #1 @ what he does this is a ParcellsGuy to the superlative!
