Courtesy of the guy who shall not be named:

I think he may have this one right, JT does bring a unique skill set to our defense, I would not be surprised to see him playing some ILB as he does have good instincts in the passing game and knows how to drop into zones and make plays.

I've got to say, JT competiting with Wake, Walden and Roth is intriguing.

Roth maybe wants to be an all three downs OLB, Wake and Walden are great prospects who both have played DE, and JT in the mix just ups their level of play and effort.

I would love to see Roth able to stay in all 3 downs and still have pass rush from someone besides Porter. It would lessen the chance of getting caught flat footed with play action fakes.....of which Manning is a master.

Taylor will sub for Porter/Roth to keep the rotation fresh but I could see times where they sub Akin or Channing for him to rush on obvious passing downs. Also means they can do things like leave him in the middle playing a short zone while a safety blitzes. Versitility is definitely there.

Pressure up the middle was such a issue last season, to me, JT as a sort of a middle of the field nickel ilb who can also blitz would be a real help to our pass rush.

I doubt he could do worse then our .5 sacks from the inside linebacker position.

It's obvious Cam Cameron had no idea how to get defensive production out of any of his pass rushers. I can't wait to see what this regime does with Taylor. I have no doubts that they will get the most out of him. The only surprise will be what the most is.

The idea that JT will not be starting is absurd... The guy is one of the most talented defenders ever qnd IMO still can be (last year was a fluke) Anyone who thinks this guy is going to ride the pine is nuts. You don't want him on the sideline if he can be on the field...

I know we're all homers, but are people serious when they mention Matt Roth and Cameron Wake in the same sentence as JT? Matt Roth is nothing but mediocre, and Wake is a CFL star...
