- time management - inablility to delegate playcalling - handling of veterans - inability to get things fixed - run defense and ST's - inability to coach-up and/or trust younger players to contribute - showed no growth during the year
yup! when did Booker start playing???? week 14? he showed signs of being pretty decent on a team that was pretty awful.
to be honest.... I'm just happy we didn't go down as the worst team ever. you were close, Cam..... too close.
I'm very glad to see him gone. I wasn't thrilled with him at all from the get go. From his draft, down to his last day as HC, I wanted him to go.
thank god JT lifted the team on his shoulders and wouldn't let it happen it might be a big part of his legacy
i think he needed another year but i think we need to hire a Defensive guy now for our HC spot Like Rex Ryan
Hopefully our new coach will show a little more enthusiasm/excitement on the sidelines. Cam had the same expression weather we were doing well or not. Cam seems like a decent person but I think he should apply for a college HC job or an asst NFL coaching job. Good luck Cam.
It was just very bad luck for Cam. If Capers was able to pull his weight, the weight of the biggest NFL contract for a coordinator that is, in the begining of the season Cam would have probably won more games. The offense actually was playing well enough to win games before Brown went down. The defense was just pathetic though. It's all for the better IMO. Parcells knows more about football than Cam and Mueller combined. He will be pullig all the strings behind the scene for the next 4 years by then the coach and GM should both be ready to do all of the heavy lifting...
Give it a rest. He is done. Gone. Move on. Let's now think of resaons to get rid of the next coach who's not even here yet.
No argument from me. No one was available that he was comfortable with in the off season. He tried delegating to Mike Mularky and gave that up after one game. That's a two way street, and the defensive vets never got on board. Not saying he's blameless simply that it was more than just Cam He wasn't brought in to fix STs and D. Dom Capers and Keith Armstrong were already here and established. He came in to a team with the #4 Offence and #29 Defence which has a "defensive guru" as it's DC. Samson Satele, Ted Ginn (made Pro Bowl as an alternate), Derek Hagan in the last 4 games, Rex Hadnot played better than he ever did, Lorenzo Booker, Regan Mauia and Jason Allen are all young players who were definitely coached up this year and Cameron can claim credit for the majority of their development. No argument from me.
I hate him for making the Ted Ginn pick. No matter how many good years we get out of the kid (who I like in himself), that moment cut 5 years off my life.
I'm seriously curious, how would you feel if NE had picked him? or Buffalo? or Jets? What I'm really getting at is, how would you like to be facing him twice a year for the next 8-10 yrs, give or take, especially if you thought he was the fastest guy on the field? My take is that if he would scare the crap out of me every time the balls being thrown down the field, then he's probably a guy I'd want on my team.
