I just applied to be a monster.....for scarowinds http://www.scarowinds.com/ its like halloween horror nights at universal.....but up here at carowinds park in nc/sc......its like 8 bucks an hour.....but i would take 4 bucks an hour part time to scare the **** out of people.....haha iam so excited about this, i hope i get the gig!!!! with my acting experience, and ugly mug....i should be a fuggin shoe in!
You'll enjoy it. I worked for Carowinds for 2 years when I lived in Charlotte. I worked Scarowinds but never as an "official" monster. Didn't stop me from scaring little kids.

Mrs. Z. worked a haunted house like this in Phoenix and has some wonderful stories about the hysterically panicked reactions of certain demographic segments.
I had a girl break up with me once because of the people who dress up at Universal Studios "Fright Night". I got drunk and thought it would be hilarious to scare the people attempting to scare us. I hid in the bushes and after they jumped out, I jumped out with a "BAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!" According to her, I ruined the experience for all involved... *****.
She, happens to be a taintstick. I got thrown out of a haunted house in San Jose because I turned the corenr and some broad jumped out with some big *** mask and scared the bejesus out of me. Out of instinct, I took a poke at her and knocked her *** to the ground. She wasn't hurt, but she was mad and security came and escorted me out. Oh, I was drunker than hell at the time too.
My haunted house story: I was with a tour group in Niagara Falls, and we went to this cheesy haunted house that was mostly inaccessible. To make it up to me, the proprietor allowed me to hide behind a corner play the part of the "Therapist with the 10-Foot Tongue," which was accomplished by my wielding a broomstick with a giant sopping wet sponge attached to it. He told me to use it to just whack anyone that walked by. Good times.
so i got called back from the HR dept.....they said with my theatre credentials....that "walking around scaring people" is not the job for me....they want me to audition tonight for one of the roles of a "monster bash" show they put on like 4-5 times a night...... so yea....that would be kickass!!!
heh....did 5 plays in 4 years of highschool......state competitions, duncan theatre at pbcc.....lots of cool stuff....enjoyed it alot. wish i could afford to stick with acting.
I was going to ask, this answered it. I love theater.. act, sing, sorta dance, build sets, tech shows.. it's just SO cool being on the inside. My first show was Jesus Christ Superstar, second was Tommy.. hellofa way to get started

Like many here I have always enjoyed a good Haunted House experience, but my home town had a tragic event occur and I am less excited by the idea since. I have still gone, and taken my girls, etc...but my head is on a swivel always getting my bearings for the closest exit, etc. This was my Sr. Year of HS! Went to Halloween Horror Nights at universal about 8 years ago with this waitress that worked for me. Got her stinky drunk and stoned outta her head. An hour or so in the park we wandered into an area where dudes with chainsaws came out and chased you. She urinated in her pants. We had to leave. She fell down in the parking garage and bumped her head. Went back to the hotel. She was stinky and her head hurt. I got no va-jay-jay that night.
Shoulda just rolled her over and given her the Frumundah Finnatic. She smelled like Aunt Doris for Chrissakes!
