It's not an issue iirc. Just go all the way to the left and create the profile. Then as far as I know you just sign in when you turn on the 2nd controller.
Yeah, Sony allows (from what I can tell) as many PSN accounts per PS3 as you have email addresses. All of my brothers and friends have accounts on my PS3 (I'm the only one with one)

Me and my brother both have a separate account. My question is, can we play online together? I cant seem to figure out how to play NHL or FIFA together online under our separate usernames. Is it even possible? Thanks.
If you each have a separate username I can't see why you can't be on at the same time, as long as your accounts were registered with separate email addys and you are not both trying to play at the same time on the same TV on the same system.
