Pretty much a no brainer if you can get him for a cheap 1 year deal.

No it's not that simple, it never is. This guy was traded away by one of the most savvy operators in the NFL despite having had a decent year prior and being an important cog.
He goes to the Vikings and they bottom out. He then goes to the Titans and they bottom out.

    See the trend?

We would be morons with a first year coach, a potential first time starter QB, already having an iffy in the head WR to bring in a personality like Moss when Brady/Bellicheck (and Favre and Fischer) had little to no success in getting him to help the team.

Edit: Good article from Jemele Hill at ESPN

I think either I worded it poorly, or you aren't reading it correctly. I'm not talking about Moss' overall career - especially the 2007 year - but mostly his last year when it was just an example of what we have come to expect from a player who is a quitter. He pissed off BB and got shipped out and then did nothing but be a negative influence for his next two teams, despite the presence of people such as Favre and Fischer.

With that in mind and considering eroded skills, anyone who thinks bringing him onto the team of a first year coach - with a possible first year starter QB, with an enigmatic WR already - is a good idea is fooling themselves. He is a cancer and a negative force that can infect a team with extreme speed and suddenness. He just isn't worth the risk.

I've always been a sort of Moss defender based upon his production, but honestly at his age in our situation I wouldn't take a flyer on him. Maybe if you sign Manning and he is healthy you can sign Moss to a one year incentive based deal....but even then the risk/reward just isn't there for me at this stage of his career.

Pass on Moss. Don't need a guy like that on your team. He quit on his last 3 teams. Hopefully nobody signs him.

Well at least we know he can still run: Free agent Randy Moss was reportedly clocked at 4.39-4.40 in the forty-yard dash during Tuesday's #Saints workout: http://bit.ly/lOaIE5

Moss would throw 2 games a year if he wore aqua. He has a man crush for Brady and Belacheat.

Just look a what he did for the team that drafted him and gave him a second chance when they played the Pats. Down right discusting.
