IMO, that points in the direction of Bennett really, really, really, wanting to go to Chicago, like I mentioned yesterday.

So you're saying if Miami offered him a 4 year, $24 million he'd turn down the extra $4 million?

That's a shame. But there are still other corners out there. Derek Cox, Keenan Lewis, Captain Munnerlyn, Bradley Fletcher.

Eh, Fletcher signed in Philly.

Still plenty of Cb's on the market atm.

In general and at his previous salary yes. I think when it comes down to it though, there is going to be tremendous pressure from the ownership and front office to feature him in the passing game as an attempt to justify the salary.

I'd think the realistic goal is Mike Wallace 2010. I can't imagine anyone would be unhappy if you can get him to replicate that.

Not sure but it was all over NFL Network last night that Chicago was a predetermned destination for him. He really wanted to go there. Why? I dont know. Especially when the NYG are an all around better team and have a better chance to win something.

While I also have some reservations regarding Wallace I don't think Philbin will succumb to that.

If you think about it he's legitimately the best left tackle remaining on the market.

I've long been of the opinion people sold on him way too early. I'm wary of the numbers Jake has been talking about but I also don't think the Rams are going to give him the numbers he's talking about.

Derek Cox is a pretty underrated corner. I'd love to sign him. Keep him in-state.

I wonder if he'd take a bit less to stay in Miami. I really don't think he wants to leave.

First year as a starter, prior to that he'd just been third-fiddle to Hines Ward and Santonio Holmes. Teams didn't quite know how to play him, I think. Concerned about the diminishing returns since then. He peaked in 2010 when the NFL didn't know a lot about him and he was targeted 6 times or fewer in 75% of his games.

This is not "info", but what I hear is that he wanted 55 for 5, and that would make me pack his bags for him.

I dunno. Maybe we offered him 21 and he turned it down.

Nor do I but there is definitely a pride factor so what would be important is for the Dolphins to give him SOMETHING that makes his deal feel like they're making an effort to put it on equal footing with the Rams' offer. Could be as simple as an incentive clause.

Yeah but he's not going to get that from the Rams, either. My suggestion was to get him something closer to 9 million and then stick in health and pro bowl incentives that could potentially get him to the numbers he wants.

I KNOW he doesn't want to leave. You know how I know that?

You think cute little Cubanita Jackie Long wants to move out of her huge house in Weston, to freeze her ass off in St. Louis Missouri?

We cubans are a warm weather people.

I don't think there is a single can of black beans in St. Louis.

I guess I'm the only one on this board that wants and like Gibson. Of course depends on the money. I don't want to pay him more then Bess. But I like his game. I wouldn't mind if we signed a CB and went into the draft with Eifert at 12 tbh. I think a trio of one of the FAs, Marshall and Patterson could be ok as long as they stay healthy. Then Eifert at 12. OL and pass rusher in the 2nd.

I'm really liking the possibilities here. Still think we need to find a LT in FA.

I still think that Martin was drafted with Long's departure in mind As nervous as that makes some people.

If the coaching staff wants to go into next year with Martin at LT. Then we need to find a vet RT.

Heh, I'm sure the household help could find some.

All I heard on Twitter is if he passes his physical, he will sign in St Louis.

I don't know. The Rams sure did beat us on Cook. That was a hell of a contract they gave him. I'll reserve judgement till I see the numbers, but breaking down twice in a row at the end of a season doesn't bode well to getting paid by said team. As an OL guy I just hope we don't do a severe downgrade. Watching guys like Levitre, Loadholt etc pains me ;p

Just had that for dinner yesterday from this place called Jose's. I eat there once a week. It's a little hole in the wall but it's got the best Cuban food I've ever had. It was featured of the food channel.

Also, they do pulled pork instead of sliced on their Cuban. Off the chain.
