Madness. Such a shame. Are more children dying by the hands of their parents these days, or do we just hear about it more?
well being that there was a time when we didn't have the internet or even TV and people didn't really care if someone killed their daughter. Yes we are just hearing about it more.
Besides mass murder, it's hard to think of anything more tragic. Culture could also have played a factor as rural people in Latin America often hold such beliefs. They bring it with them to the US. If the mother's testimony is true that the girl was prone to random violence, then obviously there were underlying problems that counseling or medication could have solved. On the hand, let's say that neither counseling nor medication solved the problem completely. Such a child may have grown up to be the next Charles Manson, G-d forbid. In no way am I trying to justify murder, but from a religious perspective, I believe that G-d knows best. Apart from that I find the DA's statement curious: Had he known her before this happened? I understand that it's his job to prosecute the case and attorneys often state opinions and allegations as if they were incontrovertible facts, but that seems even more loaded.
Sounds like the mom is the possessed one. Why would she stab a 6 year old girl 10 times including 3 times to the face and then stab pictures of Jesus, St. Joseph and Mary while she claims the daughter was possessed. Her whole story is very bizarre and I hope she serves life in prison.
I hate seeing anyone be killed for stupid reasons or at all but especially younger kids like that. Like others said, the mom is possessed and needs mental help. Very sad to hear.
I was gonna make a silly joke but I cant, not when its about a cute little girl and they post a pic of her... dammit.
Sounds very much like a case of mental illness on the mother's behalf. The daughter just happened to be home when she popped her cork....
