It's so much easier to read the ESPN/media love fest for the jets when they are unscripted. They talk about the Jets for about 20 minutes (while continuously saying "oh yes we'll talk about the vikings in a minute.. but how bout <this> about the jets?")

so they finally switch to talking about the vikings (for 5 minutes).. and everyone turns all negative and Tom starts playing 'devil's advocate' all of a sudden? "Sure they have Brett Favre, Randy Moss, Adrian Peterson, a nasty D line, but.."

<sigh>.. i hope they get to this game soon so the vikings can possibly prove them all wrong. that and I have to work in 4 hours so it better start soon or i'll miss the end!

 

I had to turn off the TV. With the rain delay, its like a 45 minute special on how great the jets are. Torture.

 

ESPN is absolutely unwatchable. It just gets worse and worse each year.

how does ANYONE like chris berman? his personality, incongruous breath patterns and voice are so grating. I cannot stand listening to him.

On top of that, most of his points are bad, and you can tell he has a whiney personality because no one, not even key, will even attempt to cut him off, lest he have a hissy fit

Chris Berman loves Chris Berman even more than Stuart Scott loves Stuart Scott. And that's a tough one to beat.

Top 10 Things I hate about Chris Berman:
1. The way he clears his throat before starting every sentence.
2. The way that Tom Jackson laughs at all of his jokes. Even the ones he's been telling for 10 years.
3. His god-awful self-referential clips of himself: the "nobody circles the wagons like the Buffalo Bills" clip, the Tampa Bay Pirate Ship clip, the one where he catches a pass in short shorts, I could go on and on.
4. How he quotes "Maggie May" every September.
5. His favorite teams are: jets, Bills, Pats, 49ers, and Buccanneers.
6. We know you can speak French. We don't care.
7. We know you love the CFL. We don't.
8. That stupid clip of Schwartzenegger saying "Go Chargers Go" every damn time the Chargers are mentioned.
9. How he says "the Blintz" instead of "the Blitz"
10. The same tired old catch phrases.
11. The same tired old nicknames.
12. The annoying classic rock references that aren't funny and are barely apropos to the subject at hand.
13. He really knows nothing about football.

Okay, that's 13. I hate him THAT much.

I don't know that I've ever seen any decided by head to head (since it'd require a sweep), but I believe you are correct. But for the wild card I believe it's conference record then common opponents (don't think division record matters directly).
