Has anybody else gotten this game? I like it alot but theres ALOT of bugs. Fielding is a pain. At random points my players will run in slow motion to the ball. Another bug im finding is i will throw it to first base and he will clearly be out by like 2-3 steps, yet i guess they say the 1B didnt touch the bag and the guy is safe. There are other fielding bugs that i cant remember right now. I love hitting and pitching, but i hope a patch comes out to fix these fielding bugs
I just played the demo... I bought last years, and hated every minute of it, so i tried the demo this year first, and i hate it too. I dont think it looks good at all, terrible in fact. Fielding... brutal. The parts with guys running full speed to the ball, and then all of a sudden slowing right down to watch it bounce hopelessly in front of them drove me nuts last year, and its still there this year. I really dont see all the hype for 2k's games. Their hockey game is terrible, as is this one IMO. I know I won't be buying it. The only thing I will say thats positive, is the new commentary team. I like it alot better, sounds alot better. Now I know how the madden haters feel... I really wish there was an alternative to this game that I could get for my 360... oh well, saves me 60 bucks, or whatever its retailing for..
I've bought 2k7 and 2k8 and was dissapointed, Not that the games where unplayable, but they have never replaced what MVP was like. I wish these exclusive license would run out. So I think i will sit out this year.
I got it and like it a lot more than last years. I think the game is way more fluid and slightly more challenging. I like franchise in this one as well. The only thing I don't like is that you can't fade or completely turn off the ball icon when your pitching and you're versing your friend who's next to you. The RT is good but it would be much easier (better) if it just faded away.
Exclusive license? That would preclude Sony's The Show. EA just dropped out for whatever, likely stupid, reason when they were the top. One would wish EA had exclusives for baseball and hockey and 2k for NBA/NFL.
The demos for MLB 2k9 and The Show are absolutely terrible. Unless EA gets back in to the business I'll probably never own another baseball game. Funny enough, 2k Sports blows them out of the basketball water with NBA 2k vs. NBA Live.
Who cares if the Show demo is terrible, it isn't called the best sports game out there for no reason.
