I really wish Mika wouldn’t have been such a douch and would have stuck with the program. I get it you have to get rid of MoFo’s that don’t want to be a part of the team. It did send a message. But he’s a beast.

Bro, I know! I wish that our start would not have been so brutal. Fun fact - I actually think our future is brighter than the Steelers'. Let's draft some guys that buy in!

It's all my fault.. I bought his jersey last year because i thought he was the only one safe on the team for a while.

Perhaps the lesson is that if you have a player who is talented enough to be a pro-bowler at 2 or 3 different positions the coaches should stick him primarily at one position and sometimes flex him into his other positions.

Bruce Mathews went to the probowl playing every position on the OL, but he was never asked to rotate through center, guard and tackle every game.

Minkah did what he had to do. He was getting tired of being switched around, and I don't blame him.

Spilled milk. It was a draft pick that didn’t fit our team and we got it back.

Mica. Too funny. I have his Fn Jersey. See kids that’s what smokin weed and drinking rum watching the game does to you. Let that be a lesson for you. Just say no.

I don't blame him for wanting out but I would have told him sucks to be you cause you ain't going anywhere. It was a mistake to let him out so easily.

All we had to do was put him where he could excel the most...

    full time free safety.

but nope. Our loss is the Steelers gain.

He was the 11th pick in the draft...we are not getting the 11th pick in the draft back or even a top 15 pick.

For the love of sanity, can a mod please change the title of this thread to "Minkah"? This feels like a thread for 3rd graders.

We got a 1st and a 5th plus a 6th in 2021. From one pick that didn't want to be here. I'm over it.

edit: they also got a 4th rounder and 2021 7th rounder from us.

The Steelers will be an interesting watch. They have a relatively easy schedule, but they are currently riding an insane lucky turnover streak that has to regress.

The pick could frankly be anywhere in the 10-25ish range .

Really tough one here. He’s been playing as well as any DB over the last 4-5 weeks. On the other hand, he didn’t want to be here. The Steelers definitely got the better end of this trade but we were stuck between a rock and a hard place. Maybe we salvaged the best we could.

Hes gotten a few lucky bounces that reached his hand... last night he was a no show and missed assignments on a few deep plays..

The ball has certainly been bouncing his way. Is he just lucky to be in the right spot or is he just in the right spot because he has good instincts?

I think he is the type of player that will always take risks in his career. Sometimes he is right and you get some big plays, other times hes just out of position.

I think it's just his mindset and the way he plays.

Yes but several of those big of his plays were literally lucky bounces/deflections that went right to him. It's simply not sustainable, and we saw what happened when those bounces dont occur (which is the majority of the time).

I'm pretty confident it's the latter...his scouting reports were off the charts and he was very likely the top defensive player in last year's draft. I really hated to see him go and it frustrates me the team couldn't do a little more to make the kid feel comfortable in Miami- he was an easy 12 year starter and a great building block.

I was happy with this trade because it looked like we might get a top 10 pick out it.

There’s a famous quote from Gary Player when someone said to that he had made a lucky shot “The more I practice the luckier I get”.

I think he has good instincts, but even with good instincts his current rate is not sustainable.

I find peace in that he went from one rebuilding team to another. Rothelisberger is pretty much done and Mason isnt the answer, and we own their 1st rounder
