    Hmmmmm....

    Interesting.

Nevermind those Scientists at Los Alamos, nothing but a bunch of Kooks I say... I think that Reynolds Wrap fuels the hat market up there... :shifty:

I also understand that the kids of those Scientists glow in the dark...

There's not even any moving parts, it's hard to imagine a meltdown. I'm so confused about how this would work though myself, this is the first I have heard of anything like this.

There are currently, and have been no less than 4 active Nuclear reactors within Los Alamos County for quite some time....I am thinking in the neighborhood of 25 years.

Never had any issues..at least that were publicized.. Keep in mind these reactors are no where near the size of a say... Three Mile Island reactor.

You mean by opponents to Nuclear Power?

Ahhh, the misguided and ignorant do abound.....and often carry silly signs of mis-information....

I believe that has been the ONLY thing thwarting what will eventually be our main power staple. Of course there is a risk, but heating Oil also goes BOOM if any problems arise. Any type of power has drawbacks, and as I mentioned, there have been "Small-scale" nuclear powerplants online for decades without any issues what-so-ever.

Sounds great. Let the environmentalists have their solar panels and let the rest of us get a miniature nuclear plant.

Realistically, I think it will be a combination of both.

Solar Panels help but have obvious drawbacks, such as they only work during Sunlight (Duh) and the amount of power/sq-ft is very very poor, but once the panels are paid for, it is pretty much free energy.

You left out cost of replacement after mild Floridian storms.
