I don't think I'd drive on that bridge. Not a big fan of heights. http://www.energyefficientbuild.com/images/millau-viaduct.jpg
Are you guys serious?its just a bridge in france I believe. When I was a kid, my dad started the business that I own now. He used to go all over the states painting water towers and other structures that were 150 feet or more high, using nothing more than two ropes and a plank board. No nets, safety harnesses or anything else to stop him from falling. Granted, it was during the 50's, before OSHA came along and stopped people from doing that sort of thing.
I'll drive on it just as long as there is no traffic..... i'd love to take a joy ride on that bridge at night.
I just climbed Half Dome in the snow and had no problems. But I have some friends who are terrified of heights. One actually sacked up and went with me to the top and had a panic attack. It was hilarious and scary all at once because I got some great pictures of him nearly pooping himself, however I was concerned that he may fall 8,300 feet to his death from being so nervous...
My aunt used to be a truck driver, yeh real feminine I know, but anyways, she had a fear of bridges and would close her eyes when driving over them.
Scared to death of heights, but I would love to drive on that bridge... 'Course, I've been on this: http://www.reaktiv-zone.org/wallpapers/usa_royal_gorge_2.jpg and to the top of this: http://www.sacred-destinations.com/germany/images/ulm/munster/facade-cc-small.jpg Guess I like being scared...
The Millau Viaduct (French: le Viaduc de Millau) is a large cable-stayed road-bridge that spans the valley of the River Tarn near Millau in southern France. Designed by the structural engineer Michel Virlogeux, it is the tallest vehicular bridge in the world, with one mast's summit at 343 metres (1,125 ft) — slightly taller than the Eiffel Tower and only 38 m (125 ft) shorter than the Empire State Building. The viaduct is part of the A75-A71 autoroute axis from Paris to Béziers. It was formally dedicated on 14 December 2004 and opened to traffic two days later.
