To be fair with the bolded, that was very early in this entire process when it was up in the air that Hernandez could have been 1 of 3 people that pulled the trigger. Things were very grey still; it's not crazy to think his friend Pouncey thought "no way he would do that" or something along those lines. Regardless of his college past. Pouncey could be gullible or not know Hernandez as much as he thought.

Whereas I don't agree with the choices Pouncey has made, I'm not looking or expecting these players to be choirboys. I just need him to play hard, and make good plays. What he displays in his home is his business, all in my humble opinion. I have found it odd that the league wants Pouncey, Incognito, and the other guy who's now with the Giants (name is escaping me) to undergo a psychological evaluation before being allowed to play again in the NFL over "bullygate"......but Aldon Smith told the TSA at LAX that he had a bomb, and I've yet to hear any talk of him being required to undergo a psychological eval before being allowed to play.

 

That's because media reaction drives the degree of punishment handed down by the NFL 75% of the time.
