So, Tennessee has hired Mike Munchak to be their new head coach. I always liked Munchak as a player. He and Bruce Matthews were as good as it gets when they were manning the center and guard positions for the Oilers back in the day. I also like what Munchak has done with his linemen. He has helped one of my boys David Stewart become a very good right tackle in the NFL, and it seems like he always has a good offensive line. Here's the thing though. I don't know that Munchak has ever been looked at as a head coach by other teams before. Did Bud Adams hire the guy that he felt was the best available, or did he hire the guy that he feels will not disagree with him the way Jeff Fisher did?
If they keep young onboard maybe Munchak is just a yes man. Titans near future is looking questionable.
