    Interesting. We have been considering using microRNA's in our Alzheimer's research.

    Sounds promising. Are they envisioning the use of manufactured MicroRNAs to turn certain problem genes dormant?

    That is possible. microRNA (miRNA) can be designed to manipulate genomes by targeting messenger RNA, so that a particular protein is not made, or control gene expression by targeting regulatory elements upstream of the promoter or by targeting the promoter itself..

    The challenge is to find miRNAs that have just one target.
