Forgive me if this is a repeated post, but I just LOVED these comments from Michael Irvin: http://www.nfl.com/videos/miami-dolphins/09000d5d81788d25/Irvin-on-Marshall
Yes lets go to Irvin to defend Marshall about off field issues. That's like letting the Cookie Monster guard the cookie jar!
Well, Irving was a receiver with off field issues who had a very successful NFL career. Let's hope Brandon Marshall can have a similar career.
Long before the trade I was saying that placing Marshall in proximity to SoBe would be like appointing R Kelly a Brownie Scout Troop Leader. Hopefully I'll be proven wrong, Brandon's saying the right things, he's now married, but in the end "actions speak louder than words." Still and all, from a clinical standpoint, Irvin knows what he's talking about and as strange as it sounds, we've got ourselves an Elite Top 3 receiver.
Probably, a good idea, Cookie Monster is now a rehabbed citizen. http://www.colbertnation.com/the-colbert-report-videos/174545/june-19-2008/cookie-monster
My thoughts exactly -- here's someone who has "walked the same walk" and turned his career around. I thought it was very appropriate coming from Irvin, frankly...
