We also have to, you know, win every game remaining. Which is hilariously difficult for this team.

I'd argue it is for most teams, let alone any team that still has to play the Patriots in December/January.

It's not over til it's over.

And I am off the Tannehill wagon and want to take a steaming piss on Stephen Ross.

But until we are mathematically eliminated there's hope. If we win tonight. There's hope. If we can get some help from the damn Cowboys.

Yup, that stole all the fun out of this thread. At least is was a decent game though.

Even though we haven't made the playoffs, well...at all...in a long time, it still feels weird to be eliminated to early. With three games to go, they usually are still teasing us before they choke.

    2014: 7-6 (6-seed Ravens were 8-5)
    2013: 7-6 (then 8-6, and 6-seed Chargers were only 6-7)
2012: 5-8 (6-seed Bengals were only 7-6 at that point)
2011: 4-9 (obviously out of it)
2010: 7-6 (6-seed jets were 9-4 after having just lost to us)
    2009: 7-6 (6-seed Jets also 7-6, and we'd swept them)
2008: 8-5 (won last 3 to make it)
    2007 LOL
    2006: 6-7 (6-seed Chiefs were only 7-6)
    2005: 6-7 (6-seed Steelers were 8-5)
    2004 LOL
    2003: 8-5 (6-seen Broncos were also 8-5)
    2002: 8-5 (AFC East Champion Jets, 6-seed Browns were only 7-6, 5-seed Colts 8-5)

2002 was a special kick in the pants since we were tied for the second best record in the AFC with three games to play, and just one game behind 1-seed Oakland, and then crapped our pants to miss the playoffs.

That being said, in the now 13/14 years that we've missed the playoffs, this year is only the 4th time that we've been out of it this early.

Forget about making the playoffs. When's the last time we won a playoff game?

2000, in an extremely exciting comeback vs the Colts. Of course, the team drained itself so badly that they were helpless in losing to Oakland the following week.

Last time competitive in the Divisional Round? 1994 at San Diego, when they blew a 18 point lead.

I can only imagine how hard and frustrating it must be for you younger guys, to love the team and never have known any level of success. I was a senior in HS in 94, and was in my final year as a full time college student in 2000. I've basically gone my entire adult life, and certainly all of my 11 year relationship with my wife, knowing nothing but disapointment from the Fins. But to have never known the better days? I'm sorry for you guys.

However, since we're without question at the lowest point in franchise history, it can only get better from here. How long it takes is the question.

Honestly it's not even all that bad. I try to enjoy them any way I can by listening to Big O after a loss (I'd rather laugh than be upset), evaluating our players' stock, speculating on coaching prospects, draft picks, free agents, stuff like that.

You learn to adapt. I have more character than to be a fanboy of whoever is winning. Plus it'll make it that much sweeter when we do have some success.
