He may or may not fall this far, but with us taking DE in the first, I say we atake OL with the first in the second. Though a WR or CB make sense here as well. Your guy's thoughts?

Gosder Cherilus and it not even close. He would play RT while Carey moves to LT for good!

Explain this to me. I am a patient man.....win me over with Cherilus and I vote for him..Right now, I am also heavily leaning towards Collins with a write-in vote

Also, I think Dan Connor should be on that list

Of the options posted I'd go Cherilus.

Gosder Cherilus Scouting Report by Matt Horkman
Pros: 2007 2nd Team All-ACC. Has long arms and when he is on he is almost dominate. Great size for a tackle and looks really good on the right side.
Cons: Is inconsistent. He is great when he is on but awful when he turns it off. Not versatile at all. Struggles on the left side. Really only looks like a Right Tackle.
Overall: Cherilus is one of the better Right Tackle prospects in the Draft but that's the only position he really can project at. Is not a left tackle in my opinion. Needs a lot of work at guard and left tackle. 1st or 2nd round pick.

Not a LT, but can be a very solid RT. At this spot would be a solid pick. Great size and does have up side. Just have to keep a foot in his but to keep him playing at a high level.

He is a very good RT who can dominate and with that pick we move Carey to LT. While Anthony Collins is more of a LT and probably more of a Gamble. Plus the fact that we are reaching in the process

I think we are going to take Joe Flacco. I think Ryan and Brohm will be taken in the 1st round, and I don't think Parcells wants to risk having Flacco and Henne both being taken before our 2b pick. I also think we need more than 2 QB's on our roster. Parcells likes to bring in his own QB's and Flacco has the most upside of any QB out there.

Fair enough, let me throw some Chris Williams at you:up:

This is ALL taken from Scott Wright

    http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/ot/chriswilliams.html

Chris Williams 6' 6" 315 lbs OT Vanderbilt

    Strengths

    Weaknesses

    Notables
    Projected

Seems to me you have one kid, Cherilus, that is big and strong but not that gifted an athlete..and another kid that is big (Could get bigger) and is a GREAT athlete but needs to learn to be more physical.
Either could play RT or either guard position

Only Williams can be considered a candidate at LT as he is a truely gifted athlete.

Keep in mind, I am in the camp that unless we can trade out of the #1 and pick up Clady, I am absolutely fine with Vernon at LT.
I would put much more value in a kid that is a great ahtlete and can play 4 of the 5 Oline positions.

I would absolutely LOVE Williams falling to us at 32 and in fact I would heavily consider him over my present favorite possibility at 32-Dan Connor

Carl Nicks, Nebraska, could also fit into our plans as he is a huge OL.

My pick at 2 would depend heavily on pick 1. Given it is Chris Long in this scenario over Jake Long or Glenn Dorsey, I would go with

2a (1) Dan Connor MLB Penn State
2a (2) Chris Williams OT Vandy

I dont see Connor falling to us. I think he goes to NYG due to the departure of Kawika Mitchell but thats just imo.

Unlikely to happen but I'm with azfin, if Conor is there I'd grab him no questions asked, then go OT with the 2b pick. Drafting both Chris Long and Conor would simply be amazing, just imagine our D. I wouldn't mind OT's Collins or Williams either at 2b depending on how long they last on the board.
