I would keep Garner on the roster until all the teams make the final cuts. There will be someone that would be a good back up OT in that bunch, then put Garner on IR. His foot did not heal all of spring lifitng, all of OTAs , all of July and apparently, not the first two weeks of Aug. Remember, up until july 30, he was not doing any contact, thats 4MONTHS folks. Now, the same foot is broken and it will heal in 6 weeks ? No, not happening. His foot is not going to be better until maybe, the end of Oct. Either that, cut him, give him an injury settlement and then resign him after the 9th week of the season, I think thats the time frame in these cases. But, do not leave him on the roster, thats insane and super bad business.
