Seeing as how it's assumed the defense is ahead of the offense usually at this point of TC, why wouldn't you feel good? Unless it's a lie that the coaches are scheming when they're really ready to jump off a bridge...
I'm assuming that is because the offense hasn't faced pressure like that before. Good thing it is now and the regular season. They have some time to adjust and learn how to counter their defensive attacks.
Offense is mostly mental, defense is mostly physical. The defensive front 7 has very little to think about. "get the Qb. NOW!" that's pretty all that's going through their heads. Offense is a much different story. Whose blocking who? Chip him or pull? Slide protect left or right? Double him or go after a LB? THe offensive line has a million things going through their heads. That's why injuries along the front line can be devastating.
