Of the 10 players drafted by Mueller and Cameron two years ago, only four remain on the roster because that draft was supposed to build a different kind of team and those players didn't necessarily fit the team Parcells and Co. are rebuilding.
That didn't make Lorenzo Booker, Reagan Mauia and Satele bad players, it just made them misplaced and expendable. And Beck is right there with them.
Beck is a hard-working, hard-studying player who still could prove he belongs in the NFL, if given the right opportunity.

Beck didn't do anything to change that status last training camp and preseason, when he couldn't distinguish himself above Josh McCown or Henne. And when Pennington came into the picture, a gift from the New York Jets, Beck practically was forgotten.
Beck will be 28 when the season begins, and that makes him something of a contradiction.So the old joke applies to Miami's third-string quarterback: Beck might be older, but at least he's inexperienced.

Lighten' up Francis! For the record, I was the biggest J. Beck supporter around, but for one to not admit that all one usually has to do is mention his name and it sparks pages of controversy and that it's happened millions of times is ridiculous and that was not the intention. By the way, using the term "retarded" is an extremely ignorant comment to make to someone. I'm surprised that was allowed here. I was just passing along a story I saw in the Herald.

My response to this one, is .....Really? You dont say? Couldnt have gotten that one unless I read that. Seriously, he doesnt say sources are telling him its eminent, or they have had discussions w/ other teams, just his opinion he will be traded. I agree he will be, many believe he will. When is the question and he doesnt really answer that with any conviction. I like Beck but the triage has made their bed, so rationale says Beck is off man out. Now the question is will they get what they want to trade him.
For Beck I hope they do trade him so he gets a shot. I hope they dont keep, him bury him and he never gets a shot.

I really hate how Dolphin fans can't read any criticism about John Beck without taking it personally. Sceeto obviously said that tongue in cheek. If he called any of us Ronnie Brown addicts would any of us care? What is it about John Beck that gets everyone so worked up? I think some of you are still a little bitter about John not panning out like we thought he would (yet).

Read any thread with the word Beck in the title at FH. Fortunately, the posters here are a lot smarter, but I think anyone that came from there suffers from some sort of syndrome that kicks in if we read the word Beck on a message board. With therapy (I recomend a Club membership at thephins.com) we can recover and someday we will be able to discus the Beck issue without the Pavlovian responses from either side.

Everybody has been saying that he will be gone the moment new FO stepped in...but yet he is here, still holding the clipboard. The word is that we rejected a draft pick for him. Draft is coming up tho, so anything can happen.
charlestonphanNew Memberi was against the drafting of Beck and Ginn when it happened... but it happened. so like previously said, i want the guy to succeed because he is a Dolphin.
and if he isnt in the plans here, then i wish him well somewhere else. he is a good guy by all accounts and deserves the chance to play somewhere else and try to prove it.

You state you're a fan and that you hate the words "homer" and "lover" in the same post. Fan generally = "homer" or "lover". When you are a fan of a team, you love that team and generally have homerish views to some degree. In my experience the words "homer" or "lover" only piss people off when it's associated with John Beck.

I'm a huge fan of the dolphins, and I still hate those words. Like another poster said, its from Finheaven. These words got used so much, I started to hate them. Thank God I'm here now.
