Miami Dolphins New logo/uniforms Thread

It will be really hard to make that fit correctly on a hat.

 

The sunburst will need to be centered to look right from the front.

 

god, that logo makes us look like the softest team in the league.

 

Cause the one they use right now screams masculinity.

 

I swear it's like they want to piss us off. Those colors are beautiful sans navy.

 

Not any worse length wise than the Seahawks, Titans, Broncos or Chargers.

 

The sunburst has always been the issue of the logo not fitting well on hats.

 

Mock up 5 designs. And have the dolphins ring of honor (who is living of course) vote on it.

 

I have to absolutely, positively, without a doubt and with a firm conviction, but humbly totally disagree. I have never seen a dolphin with an orange belly. I have seen a lot of blue dolphins, though. And that is between Curacao, Iceland, Cyprus, and Fort Lauderdale, with layover time in Mayport!

Besides that, orange is too close to yellow to be used on the belly, or we will have an almost yellow bellied mascot....

The current logo has the Dolphin centered with the sun. It fits perfect on anything. Unless they center this one it will have the tail skurtting around the side of the hat.

 

How is this possible? The new logo looks something an art student handed in just before deciding to switch his major.

 

I can't believe that piece of crap logo is what a bunch of millionaires were able to come up with.

 

Have you seen the current Dolphin? He's pissed, he is ready to play football and/or rape something as Dolphins like to do from time to time.

Lots of crying in here for something that's not even that bad, plus it might not even be the final product anyways.

 

These look too cartoonish IMO.

 

The reports were that several ring of honor members saw the logo and loved it. (I believe at least Marino and Buonoconti saw it). Obviously we don't know if they saw the one that we're seeing, but the point is that they did solicit the opinions of ring of honor members.

 

It's cute..orange and aqua is just lovely together...I think just the orange and aqua is simply adorable.


Got to keep some navy in there..cause that's just really whimsical without it.

It would be so easy if I was in charge of the uniforms and stadium..

Everyone would be happy, just tweak the logo on this a bit to be a bit more modern and viola.

And yes, even go with the alternative grey, it's real nice if you think about it, and it doesn't detract from our history at all, it's just a modern way to look at something old.

Look at what the celtics do with their unis, that green they wore yesterday was modern, how bout when the go all black with the green trim...

One of the Oldest most prestigious logs and franchises changing it up all the time...

By far the best logo I've seen.

 

here's to hoping they do a little fact checking.....that's a whale tale. Don't mind it on the cheerleaders, but that operations incompetence is sooooo two years ago.....

 

I like the new logo - and I like it more each time I see it.. But I ll wait until I've seen the whole package with unis and all to judge..

 

The upturned tail is starting to grow on me.

Not a fan of the aqua fins at all, although I think that's something that can be cleaned-up if it's indeed true that the final logo is a cleaned-up version of what was leaked.

Overall my opinion is that there's a nice logo there if cleaned up the right way.

 

It's not a bad attempt, but it just seems to be trying a little too hard to look "tough"..
And that tribal looking shading already looks dated to me..

 

For me, it's that there's just no creativity involved. It also feels like they're changing it simply just to make a change. If you're gonna commit to a new logo, at least make it as good and/or better than the old one. Like the Falcons or Pats did (Lions also another good example). This proposed logo is very generic and undoubtedly a step back. I guess I shouldn't really be surprised though.

 

It looks wimpy. Sure it would be nice on the side of a cruise ship and all but on a football helmet.

Put that logo on the helmet and we will be a laughing stock.

That's a good summation. I think there's a balance or trade off when you add the face. The face tends to make the logo look more cartoony, but no face tends to make the logo look more corporate. Of the two, I'm more comfortable with no face. I also agree that the tribal look feels dated or at least will feel dated.

As for the new logo (if that's what it is), I don't see "whale" when I look at it and I don't mind the navy color. In fact, I prefer it. It does feel a bit long to me, though. It's not my favorite mock-up, but I do see it as an improvement over what we have now. I think much of the complaining is just a resistance to change and that if the logos were reversed, meaning that the new one was the one that we always had and the old one was the new proposal, that the same complainers would be arguing to keep the logo we had.

So you are attacking me because I don't like that horrible disgrace for an NFL logo and you do. That is pretty classless.
