http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/story/1108746.html It's good to hear and God knows we need some help and depth with the interior of the OL. I really hope he continues to show some improvement. He seems to have the right attitude, who knows? I thought there were reports recently that said he sprained something or he was out of shape or something, I forget. I remember it was not good. I guess this is what he's referring to and maybe his lights have finally gone on, I hope. I had really high hopes for this kid when we had drafted him. I thought he would really surprise and turn out to be a real solid player, Oh well. Maybe all hope is not lost. Some dudes are late bloomers. Let's hope that's the case with him. We need all the help we can get with the Interior OL. IMO.
What's a little belly? As long as he is healthy, and is mostly muscle, then watch out. Donald Thomas probably will have some competition for the spot. Either way, it should be great depth.
I'll just say his dad remains my favorite baseball player ever!!! Of course I gave up following baseball back in the strikes, but his dad was (at least to me) a lot like Cal Ripken and a great example of an all-around great ball player. Unfortunately he'll probably never get in the hall because, like Zach Thomas, he was never the flashy guy. OK, I'll move on from my Dale Murphy love now.
never too many, never to late must of saw something in him to move up in the draft & snag him @ #4 let him compete.
I am hoping that picture was from last year because that was the knock on him.Out of shape and not strong enough to play G.....yet.
We shall see soon enough. If he indeed has improved his strength and techniques then at the very least the line will have better depth. I was very high on him as a late round pick mostly because of his mean streak. So if he can get all three aspects playing together he should be worth the pick....
