I think this has been done a time or two before but after seeing the responses on the Landry thread, it got me thinking that perhaps it's time to do another. If you could build an All Time Miami Dolphins Dream Team... QB Dan Marino Bob Griese Ryan Tannehill RB Ricky Williams Jay Ajayi Mercury Morris FB Larry Csonka Kieth Byers WR Mark Clayton MarK Duper Nat Moore Jarvis Landry OL Kieth Simms Richmond Webb Dwight Stephenson Larry Little Norm Evans Bob Kuechenberg Mike Pouncy TE Eric Green Defensive line Jason Taylor Ndamoking Suh Manny Fernandez Cameron Wake Bob Baumhower Tim Bowens LB Zach Thomas Nick Bounicotti John Offerdahl Brian Cox S Jake Scott Dick Anderson CB Sam Madison Patrick Surtain P Reggie Roby K Olindo Mare
Could you imagine the wide 9 with JT, Suh, Wake and Manny? Then with Thomas, Offerdahl and Cox at LB? We could just skip the corners and safeties completely since no opposing QB would finish the 1st quarter.
The years played criteria is just 1? Even with that seemingly being the case, I'll take Keith Jackson over Eric Green. I loved every bit of his 3 years in Miami. Also, at CB, Troy Vincent deserves some consideration over Surtain at CB, while Louis Oliver deserves a little bit of love at safety. A little Oliver reminder:
What about Sammy Smith.......jk lmao! I would definitely add Troy Vincent, Keith Jackson and Louis Oliver to the list. I'll never forget the 100+ pick 6. I only wish that we could have beat Buffalo in the playoffs that year.
So many other players that could've been on the list and after doing a count, my roster has only 36 players. I'm 17 short of the 53 man roster. Don't need to drop anyone else, so adding... Kieth Jackson Louis Oliver Paul Warfield Rashed Jones Troy Vincent Personally, I can't add Junior Seau. He was with us for only 1 season after being cut by the Chargers and then he went to New England after that. Was never really a Dolphin. If I added him, I'd have to add Thurmond Thomas
This. I'd even put someone like O.J McDuffie over Landry at this point. Not saying Landry isn't great but McDuffie had similar years in a much different era. Also, Daryl Gardner deserves honorable mention IMO. His presence was overshadowed by Bowens but he was dominant in his own right IMO.
Only 1 OLB? A lot of depth at MLB, but only 1 OLB. Also, you need 4 CBs, Vincent and Davis? PS, Seau was with Miami for 3 years.
Weird that this franchise has never hit on a stud outside linebacker.. unless I'm missing the obvious?
Not sure it counts because he wasn't here long, but Joey Porter in 2008 recorded 17.5 sacks and he was an OLB.
AJ Duhe One of the Blackwood brothers. Forgot which was the good one I would put Tunisil in there too. I know its only one season so far but he's going to be a multiple times pro bowler
