Seems like every one that we're in that is considered a classic game, is one that we lost. Earlier today on the NFL Network they had the game against the Chargers in Jan of '95, where we lost a heartbreaker 22-21. And before I've seen the other Chargers game, the AFC Divisional Playoff game of '81 that we lost 41-38. And of course, there's the Jets comeback game of 2000 on MNF, where we lost 40-37. I can't believe there's not one amazing game that the Dolphins were in, and won, that isn't good enough for them to re-broadcast. The NFL Network can get bent.
I to would like to see them show a classic game we actually won. The Spike game, the divisional playoff game from 1990 against the Chiefs was an awesome football game, the 1984 AFC Championship game, the 1994 home opener against the Patriots. That game they showed against the Chargers was a ****ing heart breaker. Our path was laid out to go to the Super Bowl.
I know they have shown The Spike game in the years past and I am pretty sure they have shown the 1990 Chiefs game. I watched the 1995 game today and all I could think of is "our quarterbacks sure have sucked since Marino"
That 1990 Chiefs game is one of my top 5 games ever. That Chief team was a beast with Okoye just KILLING it. Danny got 'em in the end and Nick Lowery missed a field goal that would have won it. Yah, watching those Marino games makes you appreciate him that much more. How nice will it be when we have a guy that can do some of that stuff again. Man I hope Tannehill pans out.
One of the greatest games ever played still holds as the longest game played when the Dolphins defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in the playoffs on Christmas day in double over time.
They had a special for the longest game against KC, and also showed the Leon Lett Thanksgiving game before Thanksgiving this past season I remember.
The last TD of that game was one of the most exciting I remember seeing. "Clayton has it, touchdown!" That Al Michaels quote from that game has remained etched in my memory......amazing pass, catch and almost pick-6 by Albert Lewis
I've seen both the Thanksgiving day game and the 1994 season opener against the Patriots on NFL network, and I'm almost positive the fake spike game has been aired, although I didn't see it.
