"...how have they played against the league’s very best receivers?

For purposes of this study, we evaluated how Jones and Howard each played over the past two seasons against receivers or tight ends that have A) been invited to a Pro Bowl and/or B) Had a 1000-yard receiving season over the past two seasons.

We used Pro Football Focus metrics specifically examining not when the Dolphins or Cowboys played teams with one of those receivers, but when Howard and Jones were specifically matched up against one of those receivers.

Here’s what we found:..."

"Was it worth committing more than $168 million to cornerbacks over multiyear contracts?

It’s too soon to judge Sunday, with Howard just now rounding into form off his knee surgery. But we’ll know soon enough."

See article above for the breakdown.

"Although we are capable of great acts of kindness, history teaches us that we sometimes need saving from ourselves – from our recklessness or our greed. God sent into the world a unique person – neither a philosopher nor a general, important though they are, but a Saviour, with the power to forgive... It is my prayer that on this Christmas day we might all find room in our lives for the message of the angels and for the love of God through Christ our Lord." (Christmas message, 2011)

I hope they just shut New England down. Sub 20 would be a great start, maybe like 13-16 points.

Other than slot man Edleman, the Patriots WR and TE crew is completely unproven. If our guys are healthy, then they should really shine today in traditional coverage against them.

Its the Patriots screen passes that I worry about.

I'm worried about 9ur cohesion on defense and Cam running around if hes healthy.

On talent aside from Cam we should shut them down, if both teams played flawlessly our defense would stop their offense, but football isnt a flawless game. One break in coverage can be an 80 yard TD.

We've been abused by running qbs, screen passes and tes for what seems like forever. I expect that to continue, but hopefully we can limit them to fgs.

I think all of those concerns in some way or another trace back to our subpar play at LB overall. Even in good years we have had "solid" play at best.

All of those duties dont HAVE to fall on the LB but the defense is so much better off with a LB who can do one or more of those things.
