Miami at New England - Game Thread

On these calls there should be no regard for the call on the field, in terms of the spot. Simply watch the replay, put the ball where it should go, and then measure.

Our run defense sucks donkey balls. Every run play for New England is 5+ yards how are we going to win with that crap
For how much longer do we have to endure that?

Ya gotta figure the team is going to start slow on offense, with four new offensive linemen who've never played together, two of them rookies. What are the odds an offense like that is going to come out and impose its will on somebody.
I'm much more disappointed with Fitzpatrick individually and the defense than the offensive unit as a whole.
His first interception was a throw you dont try unless you're an elite QB, even if the receiver doesnt slip it's most likely an INT but debatable, maybe he breaks it up. Either way it was a low percentage pass with high risk.
The second was just inexcusable.

Agreed. If it goes to replay, who cares about the call on the field. Go with what you see on replay regardless.

And over and oh yeah f‘ing Patriots...
Well they burned a lot of clock.. we dont have much time.. gotta get in hurry up mode and eliminate our run game, try to get any score up and then hope our defense can stop new englands run game..
Why do i have a feeling we have one more fitzpatrick interception coming
The real Fitzpatrick is back and the real Devante Parker is back.

Parker is still out according to CBS.

Williams got tackled by air again.
Well, I don't blame the offense for this, but if this is the defense we're going to be stuck with the rest of the year, we're not winning anything but another high draft pick. We should start Tua if this continues more than another couple games.
Fitz almost just broke his face diving.

So Tua can't even beat out Fitzpatrick?
they're likely just being safe with him and helping get him up to speed which is pretty hard to do with a rookie qb when you have no preseason.

What does beat out even mean in a year with no preseason and barely any real offseason?
There is no way any rookie QB should be starting right out of the gate.
I don't like Tua but not playing him yet is the smart move.

I think he had another meaning for the real devante parker comment.

Fitz looks pretty good. But there's no point in putting off finding out if Tua can play if we can't stop the other teams from running the ball down our throats.

He's looking pretty good right now only because it's garbage time.
3 INT for Fitztragic today. One wasn't really on him. but the last two are.
That being said, sure looked like DPI there on #33. He was mugging Gesicki and never turned around.

Fitztragic kinda day.
A terrible play call, terribly executed.
Yeah, we're totally going to beat New England in their house SMMFH
We'll be seeing Tua sooner rather than later.
