After taking care of the New England Patriots on Sunday, the Miami Dolphins turned their focus to their Thanksgiving challenge: playing the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field.

They know it is going to be cold, and they also know they are going to be playing a very good Packers team.

The team sentiment is just: Bring it on.

Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa said the Dolphins know they have a challenge ahead. They are looking to change the narrative about Miami's inability to win a cold-weather game.

"Yeah, I mean I'm excited to kill narratives, so let's go," Tagovailoa said. "Bring it on."

Tagovailoa said he wanted to enjoy Sunday's win over New England, then focus on playing Green Bay in the cold weather and proving the naysayers wrong.

"We'll enjoy this win, but this next one is going to be big for us," Tagovailoa said. "We're excited to go down to Green Bay and show everybody on prime time what we can do."

    ACHANE IS HOPING FOR SNOW
Dolphins running back De'Von Achane has never played in the snow, but he is looking forward to the challenge.

"I mean, it's football. It should be fun," Achane said. "I'm hoping it'll snow because I ain't ever played in the snow, so that'd be fun."

McDaniel is equally up to the challenge of getting his team focused on playing in cold weather. He is looking forward to finally getting the monkey off their collective backs with a victory.

"I'm eager for those moments. Just like you're eager to settle the score if you don't — if you believe that you're not just a front-running team, you have to win when there's some adversity going on. And so instead of just complaining and wallowing in the fact that people say those things, we've been able to win some games with our backs against the wall, so to speak," McDaniel said.

“The same thing applies with — I've already told the team, there's two things that will be said until we do something about it, [and that is win games against] good teams and [in] cold weather. It doesn't bother me in any way, shape or form. We have some plans on how to attack this week, but I relish that opportunity because, yeah, there's one way to correct that."

McDANIEL WANTS TO SET THE NARRATIVE STRAIGHT
McDaniel echoed Tagovailoa's sentiments about changing the narratives.

"I know there's a locker room full of people that believe and are eager to set that narrative straight, but there's only one way to do it," McDaniel said. "There's only one way you'd want it to be done is you want to go earn that sentiment or maybe some take-back from some people that have strong opinions, or they're going to be right and it's your choice as a team. We'll get started on that tomorrow."

Add wide receiver Jaylen Waddle as one who wants to change the narratives. He knows Miami's history of playing in cold-weather games and is looking forward to going to Green Bay and playing in prime time.

"Yeah, man. Cold-weather game. It's going to be real football weather," Waddle said. "They're bringing their best. We're bringing our best. Thursday night football, man, that's what it's all about."

he Miami Dolphins expect to be without linebacker Anthony Walker Jr. and cornerback Kendall Fuller for a Thanksgiving game against the Green Bay Packers, head coach Mike McDaniel told reporters Monday.

While both are big losses for the Miami defense, the team may not be without the pair of starters much longer.
Walker, 29, injured his hamstring on a play Sunday without making any contact with a New England Patriots player. While he exited the game and didn't return, McDaniel said tests have shown the injury isn't too serious and he likely won't miss extensive time.

But with Walker expected to miss at least one game, the Dolphins will presumably turn to former Seattle Seahawks linebacker Tyrel Dodson to take a spot in the starting lineup. Dodson, who was claimed off waivers two weeks ago, replaced Walker in the lineup Sunday and finished with an interception in the Week 12 win.

Fuller, 29, has been out of action since suffering a concussion -- his second of the 2024 season -- in a Week 10 win against the Los Angeles Rams. In his absence, the Dolphins have mostly relied on undrafted rookie Storm Duck to fill his place.

The Miami Dolphins have a tall task ahead of them on Thanksgiving. While the Dolphins are riding a three-game win streak with their offense putting up 34 points in each of the last two weeks, up next is a road game against the red hot Green Bay Packers.

The Packers have won six of their last seven, most recently destroying the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, 38-10. Not only will the Dolphins have a tough opponent across from them Thursday, it’ll be at Lambeau Field with temperatures expect to be in the 20s at kickoff.

Betting odds on the Dolphins’ upcoming game against the Packers. The following lines for the spread, money line and over/under are from BetMGM, giving you an idea of how the oddsmakers think the game will go.

    Moneyline (ML)
    • Dolphins +155 (bet $100 to win $155)
    • Patriots -190 (bet $190 to win $100)
    Against the spread (ATS)
    • Dolphins +3.5 (-110)
    • Patriots -3.5 (-110)
    Over/Under (O/U)
    • 47.5 (O: -110 | U: -110)

Too funny. I checked the article and they didn't update it to the Packers but the headline is Dolphins open as under dogs.

I think the Dolphins are +3.5, but the article has Patriots instead of Packers. Looks like the editor failed in the article.

I missed that a string had already been opened. Let's use this one for the game day watch party conversations. The other one for news.

Gave up a free 7 points. Now we'll have to play from behind most of the game. Sigh

Offense must answer with a TD, give the defense a chance to rest.

The hole got deeper, don’t now if we can dig ourselves out of it. Green Bay can now comfortably run the ball behind their strong o-line feels like a long night coming up…
