I don't know if you remember but a couple years ago, Chelsea was ready to bid 160M US on Messi. Man City was also reported to possibly have bid 227M US. I don't know what happen to those bids but those were reports.

Yeah i remember the reports, but never seen anything back them up. I think Messi is Barca through and through and wouldn't want to play in England at this moment in time.

I think Messi's a great player and all, but I take C. Ronaldo every day of the week over Messi.

And I hate C. Ronaldo, but the guy is the best no doubt.

:lol: I lived in denial for all of 2008, but by the end of 2009 when he brought MU back to the CL final, I couldn't deny anymore.

Now he's hit his stride on Madrid and he's become unstoppable. It pains me to say it, but it's true.

Messi's great and all, but Barca is a powerhouse with or without him.

It kinda bothers me that Messi gets most of the credit.

Xavi and Iniesta are the most underrated players in the world at the moment. Those guys run the best club team in the world and the best National team in the world.

They won the Euro Cup with Spain
They won the CL in 2006 without Messi

They are the heart and soul of those teams and are the main reasons why Spain and Barca are having such a great run the past few years.

One of, if not the, most explosive players in the world.
