You probably wouldn't like half the guys in the NFL as people. Either way, Hoge is an analyst, not a psychologist. No one gives a **** what he thinks about Tebow the person.
You're taking it too seriously. I don't like 95% of the people in the world and myself and Hoge are both welcome to our opinions of him. Psychology is a joke of a profession anyway to boot. When I say people like him I don't want people to think I mean Christians. What I mean are people who can't put on a pair of socks without thanking the Lord and plastering on a big fake disgusting smile.
I would not say "disgusting" but do somewhat agree. Seems almost faked, when I think of someone like Staubach who was very Christian and his maturity it does cause a bit of a head scratch for me at least. As for Tebow the player, I've made my feelings clear on his game.

To Hoge THAT is worst than a rapist that he is showering all that love to on the video above. People like Hoge need to get some better perspective. Hoge has an agenda here. Tebow spends so much time giving back, visiting sick kids, and doing things of a philanthropic nature, that to try and assassinate his character is a joke. You can argue Christianity or Atheism, but you can't argue with charity and giving back. In his very short career, Tebow has accomplished more than Hoge in the NFL, won more playoff games than the Dolphins in the last dozen years, and is a cash cow for any team who prints his jersey. Hence why Woody most likely demanded his signing. Hoge is full of venom and spite here. But at least he made news for the second time in his career, thanks to Tebow again.
The Broncos won in spite of Tebow. Just like Miami won in spite of Fiedler. Both were/are laughably ****ty QBs. And teams wont play him because he is a ****ty QB. Oh and the fact that he was scared to play in Jacksonville because of the" pressure" just screams out that he will never have an elite QB's mindset.
this, even though I disagree with Fiedler, I thought he was a decent QB, Look at 2002. Fiedler gets us 5-1, breaks his thumb and we lose the next 3 games, during his 4 weeks out. I Anyway, would anyone here really want Tebow as your starting QB if you were a head coach if you had the choice?
Not neccessarily, you run things off of playaction deep down the field. Coaches prefer not to do this as there is to much risk, this is one of the funnier things about the league.
I would strongly suggest you two putting each other on block. Clearly there's a mutual dislike there and no one wants to read any of this. End it now.
Tebow is guilty of nothing but being an outspoken evangelical Christian and wanting to play quarterback so badly that he would probably pay to play. He's not phony about either of those two things. He may not be good enough to play quarterback at this level, but I see nothing wrong with his not wanting to be a gimmick player. Having said that, it would probably help him if he forgets about the Gators and tells Rexy that he'll be happy to play wherever he can best help the team. He has the guts and athleticism to play in the NFL, but not necessarily at QB.
Tebow could have started for the Jaguars, he chose to go to the Jets and be a gimmick player. That's the part that Hoge is saying that makes him phony. The only reason he is saying it, is because he has a problem with Tebow's persona, but it is legit to question the motives of Tebow for the choices he made.
Making a bad decision doesn't make you a phony. It was a personal choice, he didn't owe the Jaguars anything. It's pretty likely that he made the mistake of thinking the Jets had a better chance of contending than the Jags. A lot of people thought the Jets were closer to contenders. He's not a Dolphins fan so he had no idea how doomed he was playing in a Sparano offense.
I'm sure he was lied to by the Jets as well who were desperate to sell PASL's, told he would get a fair shot, which never did happen and a big reason Tebow lost his cool, but he didn't kill any dogs or rapped any women so lets be harder on him, the nonsense spewed out by his distractors is laughable.
Maybe true. i dunno.The point being, based on his current complaints and the choices he made earlier, its ok to question his decisions. As I said, Hoge goes overboard, because of his own agenda. I have an agenda with Tebow. Not because he's Christian, but because I live near Gainesville and Tebowmania is effing annoying.
Brad Johnson won the SB with Tampa Bay. And the confusion probably is caused by the fact that both are brought up as examples of winning a superbowl without an elite QB.
Hodge is calling him out when Tebow was saying he would play any spot if needed then when they gave the starting job to McElroy he turned around and said he didn't want to play in the WC. Tebow is a phony.
Whether he wanted to or not is irrelevant. If called upon he would have went out and played in the formation. There has been no reporting indicating otherwise. He's not a phony. People are allowed to have desires and preferences. If Tebow would have flat out refused to go in for the Wildcat then there might be something to this. That never happened. This is just the media desperately trying to stir things up.
And make commericals, and get his name out there as publicity whore. I was a big Tebow fan despite my Canes loyalties. Then he made the move to be a Jet, and it looked like all he was after was the easy glory. If he was dumb enough to believe he was going to win out over Sanchez, who signed a huge salary extention then he is dumber than a wall of bricks.
How much control did Tebow actually have as to where he was traded? Do we know for sure that Jax made an equal offer for him as the Jets did, or any trade offer at all? I doubt being on a rookie contract that he had any say so for where he could be traded. Could it be that the Jets just made the better offer, so Denver dealt with them?
Tebows not a complete QB and never will be. Just another college run first guy out of his element in a league where the speed of the game eliminates this type of QB's effectiveness. He won in Denver? Sure he did..... with a staunch defense helping him and a coach that revised their entire offense to cater to his limitations. This limited offense would have been and was adjusted to by defenses. It's why the Jets actually jumped over him to Mcelroy to start. Guy dosen't have it regardless of what all the delirious Gator fans will say.
Let's be fair, reports of Denver totally remaking their offense for Tebow were overstated. They made some changes, but they weren't exactly running Urban Meyer's playbook. Last year's Broncos offense looked nothing like, say, the 2008 Florida Gators offense. You can't be as good a player as Tebow was in college without having something. That something just doesn't translate to playing QB at the NFL level. Tebow is good enough at football to deserve being in the NFL. He just shouldn't play QB.
