Do they have an official start time for this game? I'm flying into Ft. Lauderdale that Saturday for the Dolphins game but if I get there in time would love to catch the U punk the Sooners.
That is what I'm hoping for! After a 6+ hour flight from Cali I could use a break and not having to rush to the stadium from the airport.
http://espn.go.com/blog/acc/post/_/id/3931/oct-3-game-times-announced 3:30 at the earliest 8:00 if The U beats VT(thats not officially the catalyst but lets be real).
12, 3:30, 8... win or lose @VT this week... I'll be there regardless! I do hope we get the spot light for a night game, though. I also hope Bradford returns.
Let them get ready for what we have shown so far. Whipple is going to have something completely new for them to try and digest.
Oh I'm sure he will, I have complete faith in Whipple as a strategist and play caller. In truth, I'm more concerned about seeing how we'll react to a 6-day turnaround when we're used to having 9 before every game, and in turn going against a rested OU. But anyway first things first, beat VT.
Nice! I'll be at Land Shark stadium for this game, and right back the next day for the beginning of the Chad Henne era...
Hello fellow finfans!! Well, this should be a pretty exciting game Saturday. It's the talk around here this week. I personally hope Bradford comes back next week against Baylor at home. I think mustache Jones has some momentum going right now and our defense is playing pretty well. I think OU's experience will bring them out in the end 38 - 27. The U qb is nice though...I'll give him that. Good luck and hopefully only one Miami team wins this weekend
[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HuPoZGPs5U8"]YouTube - A Sooner Fan's thoughts on Virginia Tech DESTROYING MIAMI! 31-7[/ame] Section 416, row 24.....
I saw that too. WOW oh wow. It is way too easy for ANYONE to put a video on the web. The guy is a fruit cake. I think the best part about this video is the comments that are on Youtube about it. Stuff like, "you know no woman will ever see the inside of that room", "what does this guy live with his mom?", etc.. Funny stuff...
"You guys just won 'cause Bradford was out!" That's all we're going to hear if we beat them Saturday night. Yeah I know, who cares, I just don't want to hear any excuses.
They said on ESPN News this morning that Bradford isn't starting, but that Stoops hasn't officially said that he wouldn't play at all.
I find it interesting that we could possible run the table and by the BCS rankings end up a higher rank than Va. tech, yet we would not play in the ACC title game. The BCS sucks.
If Miami goes 11-1 and VaTech goes 10-2 overall yet we have identical (1 loss) conference records, then they get in over us? I'm lost on whether or not the first conf. tie-breaker is overall record or head to head.
And yet again, it looks like I'll have to watch the 'Canes on Gameplan - in standard definition. ****!
This is going to be the toughest match up for our offensive line. Oklahoma has four top 90 picks on their starting defensive line including one guy, Gerald McCoy, who I think is probably the best player in this draft. Jason Fox matches up with Auston English which should be interesting. The often forgotten man is Frank Alexander who is only a sophomore IIRC but can do so much damage as he's an athletic player with speed. I watched him last year against Oklahoma State and he terrorized the offensive line. Pipho has a lot on his hands today.
To Oklahoma: We are the Hurricanes of Miami. Resistance is futile. Your life as it has been is over. From this time forward, you will service... us.
Oklahoma at Miami Game Thread 8pm, not on in my area so I'll have to hunt for a streaming link. OU is favored by 8 pts, has a chance to erase the game in Blacksburg with a win tonight.
You're never as good as your best game or bad as your worst. Last week was our worst, now let's come out and play our best.
This is a Whipple game. He has to call the right plays against OU's pressure. If he does and Harris can make plays then Miami will steal this game.
Similar things happened before the BCS. ND beats FSU, then loses to BC a week later. ND and FSU have the same record, but ND beat FSU, but FSU plays for the national title. And the ACC tie breaker is an ACC issue, not a BCS one.
