Romeo Crennel is his top target to be the next head coach of the Dolphins.
What would u guys think if we hired him for our HC Job
I found this On Rotoworld.com
Why would he leave the Browns when it appears he has a very good thing going there?
i was woundering the same thing but on rotoworld.com it said that he was the top target for miami
Well if Romeo misses the playoffs. Which very well could happen with a Titans win. He may be shown the door. Maybe that is why they are speculating this
PFT is reporting the same thing, makes little sense and besides I am not sold on him anyways, I mean I know he is doing a fine job in Cleveland, but that doesn't mean he would be a good fit here.
yea we would have a good shot at getting brady Quinn or Derek Anderson though so all the people that wanted Brady Quinn in the draft might get there wish if Romeo comes to miami
Heck like I said in the other thread.
CLE misses the playoffs Romeo may get fired
I think Crennel is a huge long shot. I doubt he will give up draft picks to get him out of Cleveland, and with the season he is having why would he want to leave? Also, why would the Browns let him leave?
Well he was on the hot seat prior to this season.
And NOT making the playoffs might be enough for him to be shown the door
Honest to God. You people are out of your minds. Bring in a guy who gets fired from Cleveland? There's a good idea.
There should be better guys fired by the end of year.
LOL. Well, his team has played good football lately. DOUBT HE GETS FIRED. I don't think he'd be a bad fit though.
bring along winslow and edwards. w/o them you suck
Agreed. Those two, along with Lewis, are what made that offense gel. Two big playmaking receivers make even Derek Anderson look good. Though that offensive line has really performed well.
Agree with you.
Lewis would be a Back up to Ronnie
Hey marvin Lewis may get canned out of Cincy as well
crazy how the bengals have regressed.
This is not true, Bill, would never let this info get out. He will keep everyone guessing till after the Super Bowl is played. Smoke Screen !
If Parcells makes a change I can almost guarantee we'll hire a coach before the Super bowl. Even if we want somebody from the Pats/cowboys, you can interview them during their bye week and hire them.
yea i know a couple years ago there were really good now now they suck a$$
If the fins change HC, it will prolly happen quickly. I can't see them scrambling to get a staff together for the senior bowl.
this is a good season in browns history aint it? hehe. they will surley keep him lol
but man, what's up with all those browns rumor, first D. Anderson and now crennel %?! someone in cleveland is lighting up stupid rumors either because he's insane or he's a buddy of parcells and wants to help him smokesreen a bit (or in the opposite way, Parcells is helping the browns by saying they want anderson, in case someone wants him, or Parcells is a buddy of Crennel and is threatening the browns organisation to snag him outta there, so Bill is helping Crennel in a certain way because if you're a GM and Bill Parcells wants someone, you usually look into it lol ) ..... lots of scenarios. man the room is starting to spin real fast
If we change coaches I believe we forfeit our chance to coach the Senior Bowl but I might be wrong
That's overrated anyway. With one exception (Marty falling in love with Rivers) I don't recall another time a team made a decision based on coaching a particular player at the Senior Bowl.
Crennel was " on the bubble " before the season began, that was reported by several different writers, and others in sports talk shows. I would only get him as a DC and not HC. I also don't think that the Phins should give up any draft picks for anyone FA player or couch.
This is why PFT is one of the worse sites on the internet.
FH needs an official PFT thread so we can keep it all in one pile, lol.
That's it, we will simply play so badly for three or four years that we stock our cupboard with top 8 picks, then we will be winners like the Cardinals...../s
BTW, this is the second wackey rumor involving the Fins and the Brownies, what is up with that?
John Gruden - Cadillac Williams -2005
Mike Nolan - Patrick Willis - 2007
Theres a few I can think of.
hahahahaha, best post in the thread.. we can "stinky" it
you can win an lose in the draft sometimes it's a crap shoot
Just heard on ESPN Radio that Parcells wants Romeo Crennel as head coach next year. No link cause I heard it on the radio.
ESPN Radio is taking the PFT rumor and running with it.
Crennel hasn't heard anything about Bill being interested in him, and even if he wasn, Crennel is under contract for two more years. To get him, Miami will either have to pony up picks and/or cash.
Basically, sites like PFT and the so called insiders that ESPN have are simply going through the names of coaches that have either coached with or played for Bill.
Bingo. Or more accurately, PFT's sources are just going through the list of names. I'm surprised Parcells' pet dog hasn't been mentioned as a candidate for something yet.
I doubt very much that even Bill Parcells knows what he wants to do right now. His first Dolphins game of the season was the Patriots game this past Sunday, and he only officially starts today.
Leave it to the media to SPECULATE and that's all it is ! The Phins haven't even played their last game of the season and there's already all kinds of stories with names about possible next head coaches, etc. The media wastes more time on pure SPECULATION than trying to get the facts. Alot of people are quick to read into it and buy it.
That sounds about right. Would anyone want Romeo for HC? Do you think we'd be a better team with him? Honestly I'd like to give Cam another shot even though I think majority of fans want him out. I just want whats best for this team though.
You forget about John Offerdahl. Shula was the coach I believe that year, and after working with John was so impressed he drafted him.
Shula was the coach that year, right ? Help me out fellas.
