Michael Vick hurts his throwing hand throwing a pass in the middle of the 2nd quarter. Why is he still in the game?
Flacco and Ryan both played 4 series. Is it just me or are the starters playing a lot longer than usual in the 1st preseason game?
General Preseason Football Thread (Discussing action on the field) Not sure if this is the right forum, so feel free to move it. I'm watching GB-SD, and I gotta say, Phillip Merling looks in good shape and just blew up a play. GB could be a good fit for him.
Pierre Garcon looks bigger than 6'0 210. Rookie Melvin Ingram (SD) is quite a handful for a scrub Packers left tackle.
Being up here, this is what I get to watch.....NE "trying" new things out, and losing or barely winning, putting up under 14 points.... But I watch screw it, it is football you know......BB is going to try like hell to put either Hoyer and Mallett on a pedestal in hopes he can fleece another poor sap of a team in giving up a early rounder for a QB, instead of trading for Moore or Garrard for a late round pick....they dont need all 3 like we dont need all 4...
Russel Wilson looks like he could be special...I haven't seen one thing thus far that makes RGIII much better. Small sample I know but after one preseason game the rookie QBs that I have saw rank about like this. Wilson Griffin Foles Tannehill Luck is yet to play, Weeden looked pretty bad, didn't see Osweiler.
His 1st TD was crap, so I am glad he actually made a good read and throw on the 2nd one. There was the one sideline throw I was sure was going to be picked off though.
Man luck is gonna be great..did y'all see that there using Dwayne Allen at fullback to get both Fleener and him on the field...just let those three grow together and sit back.
Absolutely perfect ball placement. Been a long time since we've had someone who can make throws like that.
