Call me what you will but, I do not want this team in the playoffs. I would much prefer a 7-9 season with a draft pick around 12-15.

It may have been some fun with Ronnie and the WC. Not now. Our team needs a few more players to be a legit contender NEXT year, not 6, and not 2-3 years down the line.

Because of no new CBA, there is little help available in FA. Wilfork is the exception, and I have asked Tuna Claus for him. LOL

This draft is going to be SPECIAL, with many underclassmen coming out in fear of a re-vamped rookie salary cap. Moving up 5 slots or so, with people who actually know how to draft, could well bring the missing pieces to our team.

Add that to "All The Young Dudes" improving, maybe a trade or two, and we are as good as anyone. JMO

if you make the playoffs, then you deserved it -- because you earned it .....

that being said, at this point needing soooo much help [even though we got all the required help this weekend] .... and not that i ever wish that we lose, i'd just rather have a better draft position this year ..... so we could possibly get 1 of the 2 top MLBs .... and make a SB run next year.

I'm with ya. If anyone thinks me less of a fan SoBe it. The way this draft is shaping up, the top of the second round is going to be like a normal bottom of the first round. We could use that edge.

A "moral victory" by beating Pitt does NOTHING for our team.
