to be fair.. the city that the ale house is in, weston....it has a lot of..........idiots.... running wild. that does NOT justify a professional football player striking anyone.
I can tell you what Mauia will be looking at, the unemployment line, and the dude he hit will be looking at a generous cash settlement.
Grigsby will start for us, whether we cut Mauia or not, so it seems Mauia might be the perfect player for Parcells & Sparano to make an example of. I really don't care, sounds like the kid is a thug anyway so I really don't want thugs on our team.
When your on the cusp of getting the axe, doesnt that turn on some lights in your head? Might aswell put a for sale sign on that black Esculade. Who's his adopted father?????????????????
I heard the guy looked like Boomer Grigsby. Reagan just wanted to send a little message to enforcerfin
Precisely. Im dissapointed in Reagan.. I thought all Samoans were like big teddy bears!? Guess not. At least it was Satele.. Man, that mustve hurt like hell to get coldclocked in the face by this guy.
Great move... New coach, new front office, let's see, how can I impress them? I KNOW...I'll get wasted and assault some stranger in a parking lot.
He said im the juggernaut *****! and gave him two back hands. dont worry Mauia, I believe you didnt do anything other than beat his ***.
Fins: Juggernaut Switch? Or should it be Juggernaut Ditch? Dolphins second-year fullback Reagan Mauia, known best for referring to himself as a juggernaut after running through a wall, stands accused of punching out a Carolina Ale House patron in a parking lot... in Weston, of all peaceful, single-family places. Mauia is apparently claiming it's a case of mistaken identity. He's innocent until proven guilty. But if he's guilty, what do you do with him? This is a regime that has declared that it won't tolerate "thugs and hoodlums." Those proclamations always strike me as silly, because teams rarely enforced a zero-tolerance policy. If a player is important enough, any infraction can be spun. This player isn't all that important. He was a starter, sure, but fullback isn't a premium position, and he still hasn't proven much beyond what we saw on YouTube. How should the Dolphins proceed with Mauia? http://blogs.sun-sentinel.com/sports_seasonticket/2008/04/fins-juggernaut.html your thoughts
Here's my problem with the whole story. As far as we know, apparenly Reagan Mauia decided to punch some random guy out in a parking lot. No reason behind it whatsoever. This story's fishy to me.
well hopefully this version of the story really is what happened. Its still unacceptable to go around knockin people out, but maybe the team/league would go easier on him looking at the whole situation. Hopefully the truth does come out in the end on this one...
While he didn't exactly handle the situation in the best way possible (if that is what happened), I can't really see the league/team getting on him too much considering the circumstances.
